WU Percussion Festival
The WU Percussion Festival is a premier event designed for high school percussion ensembles to engage in enriching educational experiences with esteemed guest artists. Each participating ensemble will receive a 40-minute coaching session with one of our distinguished guest artists, Dr. Andrew Richardson and Dr. Emily Salgado.
Coaching sessions will take place from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. At 11:30 a.m., attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a concert featuring the Washburn University Percussion Group alongside our guest artists.
This festival provides a unique opportunity for students to refine their skills, gain valuable insights, and be inspired by accomplished professionals in the field of percussion.
The festival is free and open to the public held in White Concert Hall.
