Piano Recital
Dr. Lucy Tan, Washburn faculty member and concert pianist, will perform a solo piano recital featuring works by Beethoven, Chen Yi, and Robert Schumann. The recital is free and open to the public.
Dr. Tan began her musical journey from a young age, having been featured on the stages of notable venues such as Jordan Hall, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center. She made her live WGBH radio debut at age 11 on "Morning Pro Musica" with Robert Lurtzema, followed by her concerto debut at age 12 with the Brockton Symphony Orchestra. Her performances have taken her across the United States and internationally. She is a laureate of national and international piano competitons and performed in renowned music festivals such as Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Featival, Music Academy of the West, and Bowdoin International Music Festival.
