The speaker for this year's Thomas L. King Lecture will be Dr. Dan McClellan from the University of Birmingham, Department of Theology and Religion. He goes by @maklelan on social media and his podcast is Data Over Dogma. The title is "The Bible Says So! How We Make Meaning with the Scriptures."
Dan McClellan is an independent scholar of the Bible and religion and an honorary fellow at the University of Birmingham's Cadbury Centre for the Public Understanding of Religion. He received his PhD in 2020 from the University of Exeter. YHWH's Divine Images: A Cognitive Approach - was published in 2022. Dan teaches regular online classes, cohosts the popular Data Over Podcast with his friend Dan Beecher, and goes by @maklelan on TikTok, Instagram, You Tube, and Twitter, where he confronts misinformation, shares the state of the field, and responds to qestions about the Bible and religion.
