The presentation will start a brief overview of the educational system in the Netherlands and the organizational structure of its universities. The curriculum at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences that Dr. Zeijlmans van Emmichoven was involved in will be discussed. In addition to teaching, an important part of his activities involved the quality assurance of assessment and the securing of the end level of students. This will be discussed in detail along with his first experiences as lecturer at Washburn University.
