In 2013, Davis Hammet came to Kansas as a 22-year-old activist for what he thought would be a short stay to launch the Equality House across from the Westboro Baptist Church hate group. Today, Hammet is the president of Loud Light, a civil rights and voting rights organization fostering a culture of citizen participation in Kansas. Hammet will share his journey of making change, finding community and purpose, and falling in love with everything that Kansas is and soon may be.
