Washburn University School of Nursing Special Topics: Costa Rica, presented by Crystal Stevens and Belinda Eckert.

The Washburn University School of Nursing has a ten-year history of working with the organization C.A.M.P. (Central America Mission Projects) in Costa Rica to deliver basic health care using mobile health clinics. Nursing and Allied Health students spent a week over the winter break providing health screenings and treating minor illnesses for children and adults living in Costa Rica. In addition, students had opportunities to explore many facets of the ecology, cuisine, and culture of the area. This brown bag luncheon will share their experiences and stories from this trip.
