Morocco, the Kingdom of the Western Place - Manaf Sellak

Morocco, a country of 37 million people, has recently been known as the first African and Arab country to achieve the soccer world cup semi-finals. Bordered by the North Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, Morocco has maintained great economic and political relations with its African neighbors, European Union countries, and the United States. Last Fall, two Washburn faculty from the School of Business spent one week in Morocco, meeting with Business faculties from a few Moroccan universities and visiting some historical sites. We will share their experience and discuss how the recent world cup success might impact Morocco economically, socially, and culturally in the years to come.
