"Tiny Beautiful Things" is based on the Book by Cheryl Strayed, adapted for the Stage by Nia Vardalos and co-conceived by Marshall Heyman, Thomas Kail, and Nia Vardalos.

The play follows a new advice columnist who must struggle with her new role in answering the joys and pains found in the letters sent to her. The play features four actors playing many characters. Washburn students Madeline Dumier, Ace Braden, Erin Watts, and Jake Andersen are featured in the show. The show is directed by Barbara Dingman. Director, Dingman, says "I am having a great time. The cast is wonderful and so hard working. I believe we are creating a wise and beautiful show full of wit and sincere emotion...a thrilling project."

"Tiny Beautiful Things" opened in November, but had to be postponed; these performances will complete the run of the show. Theatre professor, Julie Noonan says, "we're so very glad to be able to bring this show back to our stage."
