The annual Russell Jacobs Lecture hosted by the Philosophy & Religious Studies Department returns with speaker Dr. Agnes Callard:

"What is Free Speech?"

Dr. Callard is an associate professor of philosophy at the University of Chicago. Callard is a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, and author of the book, "Aspiration: The Agency of Becoming." Callard is a regular columnist for The Point Magazine, and is a frequent contributor to the New York Times. She has also contributed to a host of other publications, including The New Yorker, and is a much sough-after guest, frequently appearing on podcasts.
